Savory and Sweet for Breakfast

Sweet or Savory for breakfast?!

Have you ever noticed if one works better for you? If you’re not sure ask yourself the following questions an hour after breakfast.

▪️What’s my energy level? Do I feel sluggish?
▪️Do I notice brain fog or am I extremely focused?
▪️Do I feel satisfied or still hungry?
▪️ How are my cravings?

When you choose the right foods that are nutritious, balanced and serve you best, it can shift your entire day.

I tend to lean towards sweet most days and thrive at my best but today I went for both sweet and savory on grain and seed bread. See below for my toppings:

  • Toast 1) tahini, hemp seeds, raspberry jam, honey and cinnamon.
  • Toast 2) grass fed butter, one fried egg, broccoli sprouts & feta cheese
  • plus fresh berries on the side

This breakfast plate is balanced with healthy fats, protein and carbs/fiber. Delish!
